THE ASSESSMENT METHODS OF CAPITAL’S METROPOLITAN AREAS’ COMPETITIVENESS IN THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC SPACE

Abstract
This article deals with the approaches to systematize the indicators that determine the level of international competitiveness of metropolitan cities. The basic advantages of the most popular methods for today that assess the competitive position of capital cities were determined. Analyzed methods used by international organizations and research agencies such as the OECD, the World Economic Forum, Institute of Management and Development, The Economist Intelligence Unit, Loughborough University, Institute of Urban Strategies, Foreign Policy, AT Kearney, The Institute of Progressive policy, Cushman & Wakefield.
