The control surface of the destroyed parts in a corona discharge

Abstract

The results of the research of monitoring the surface of metal machine parts by the method of gas discharge visualization are given. For research as the object of a fragment of the shattered shaft is selected. For monitoring a gas discharge above the surface of the fracture was developed and mounted laboratory bench. TV inspection of the surface in the corona discharge is performed and pictures with the camera are taken, which allowed visualizing in violation of a corona discharge in the ground surface with the most uneven terrain a steady glow. After processing of the images the map of the largest in homogeneities of the topography of the failure surface in the graphic editor PaintNet_v3.1 use color inversion, brightness and contrast was obtained. Because of further analysis of fractured surfaces has been allocated direction of the gap lines, which allowed concluding that the destructive force was applied perpendicular to the break lines. Thus, based on the image of the failure surface can be judged on the possible causes of the disaster and to make necessary adjustments to the design of the components and modes of operation of the machinery.
