THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT MIXTURES OF OIL AND REFRIGERANT ON THE SURFACE OF THE SLIDING PISTON COMPRESSORS
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2014, Vol 256, Issue 4
Abstract
Due to valid regulations concerning the application of substances weakening the ozone layer, at present, there is reversion to ecological refrigerants. The purpose of the work was testing the influence of substituting the refrigerant R134a with ecological propane in the mixture of oil and refrigerant on sliding surfaces of piston compressors. The tests were carried out in mixtures of mineral oil with refrigerants R134a and R290 and in mixtures of synthetic polyester oil with refrigerants R134a and R290. The tests were performed with the use of a friction machine using a pair type block-on-ring, which was situated in the chamber simulating the inside of the refrigerating compressor. The results obtained from the performed tests confirm the possibility of using propane instead of R134a.

Kompleksowe porównanie modelowych kompozycji olejowych na bazie oleju mineralnego, syntetycznego, białego i naturalnego
Celem prac było sprawdzenie możliwości zastosowania oleju naturalnego i białego jako bazy olejów przekładniowych. Testom poddano cztery modelowe oleje przekładniowe – z bazą mineralną, syntetyczną węglowodorową (PAO), bi...
THE INFLUENCE OF ADSORPTION AND TEMPERATURE ON THE TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF COMPOSITE COATINGS Ni-P-Al2O3
This paper presents the analyses of the influence of the adsorption and temperature of a friction pair on the tribological properties of the Ni-P-Al2O3 composite coatings. The composite coatings were superimposed on stee...
THE INFLUENCE OF THE MOTION PARAMETERS ON THE SURFACE LAYER OF METAL-POLYMER SLIDING PAIRS AT LOW TEMPERATURES
The surface layer of the polymeric sliding materials co-operating with steel has an impact on the tribological properties at low temperatures. The goal of the present study was to determine the impact of the friction pro...

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FRICTION EFFECTS OF THIN CERAMIC COATINGS IN ROTARY, TRANSLATION, AND RECIPROCATING MOTION
In the present study, the tribological properties in rotary, translational, and reciprocating motion in ball-on-flat sliding contact is discussed. The coating of tungsten nitride with the thickness of 0,5 μm deposited on...
