THE FUNCTIONING OF THE TERMS AND PROFESSIONALISM IN THE MEDIA LANGUAGE IN KHERSON

Abstract
The article clarifies the peculiarities of the media language, points out that the media language is a general tendency towards the democratization of the journalistic style, using foreign words are intensified, the metaphorization is increased, personality traits are amplified in the speech, the level of the culture of the speech decreases. The article's materials state that the modern development of the journalism is characterized by the active introduction into the language media texts’ terms from various branches of science, technology, medicine, sport, art, etc. This is due to these changes in the economic, socio-political, scientific process, which reproduce the emergence of new words and as a result, they begin to function in the media language. As a rule, using of this or that term depends on which branch of science is mentioned in the journalistic text. However, far from the timing always performs a nominative function in the mass media, they are increasingly used to provide emotional sounding publications. The article analyzes the functioning of the terminological units of such lexico-semantic groups in the Kherson Internet publications like as sport, medical and artistic. Each group has its own thematic microgroups, it is found out that the terminological vocabulary performs a nominative function in a journalistic text, but increasingly in the media language it determinologizes and begins to perform a stylistically expressive function, giving the publications a certain colorful and emotional sound. In addition, the article focuses on the using of professionalism in the media language which contains an emotional color, and as a consequence, may violate language norms.
