The future building and architecture specialists’ labor motivation factors in the college educational process

Abstract

The article focuses on issues of labor moral value; features of the value attitudes formation towards the future builders’ work are highlighted. The author points out the necessary professional qualities of students who influence the state of self-educational competence, namely: the formation of motivation to self-education; the need for self-education and creative self-expression; presence of interest in professionally directed disciplines; self-promotion; possession of skills to plan their self-educational activities and to identify independence; educational-intellectual, communicative skills, as well as ability to navigate in information flows; speech culture, reflection, self-control, persistence, responsibility. The article outlines motives, among which professional, cognitive, motives of social identification, utilitarian. Attention is drawn to the main stages of the process of motivation: the emergence of needs; developing a strategy and finding ways to meet needs; definition of activity tactics and its phased implementation; satisfaction of needs and reception of material or spiritual rewards. It is noted that a significant role in shaping the value attitude to work for future builders plays non-material motivation, the components of which are: humanization of labor; development of industrial democracy; career planning; regulation of working time; the team awareness and so on.
