Journal Title: Medicine and Philosophy - Year 2024, Vol 45, Issue 1
Abstract
Each era has its main axis of ethics. Contemporary medical ethics is facing a brand-new situation. Issues such as capital, technology, power and public health have become major subjects for medical ethics to address and confront. The new situation puts forward various new tasks to medical ethics, requiring exploration of policy suggestions and ethical measures to complete these new tasks. This article discusses how medical ethics can enrich, innovate, and elevate its own principles to adapt to the new situation; how to promote the comprehensive coverage of medical ethics in the field of medicine, rooting it deeply in medical practice, and facilitating the better service of medical technology to the health of the general public. This marks the beginning of a new journey for medical ethics.
