Abstract
The article deals with theoretical and methodological considerations of the transition paradigm. The main approaches, models, phases and forms of democratic transitions, which are presented in the works of domestic and foreign scientists, are analyzed. The stages of formation of the primary and secondary paradigms of transitology are investigated.
