The image of a young girl in American song folklore

Abstract
The present article deals with the stylistic means of creating the image of a young girl in American folk songs, their image-creating functions in folk song texts have been analyzed in particular. In this respect, stylistic means of semasiology, syntax and phonetics that help to create the image of a young girl in American song folklore are defined. It is proved that historical, music and cultural aspects in the complex investigation of young girl images are of great importance.
