The issue of managerial decisions in public organization illustrated with an example of policemen making managerial decisions

Abstract
In present organizations managers are required possess many skills. They are given multidimensional tasks which they have to face through effective decision-making. The paper presents complexity of decision-making process by revealing only some of its components. The study shows the issue of managerial decisions in public organization. It presents the role of manager in decision-making process and the challenges occurring consequently. The article also describes topics connected with operation of Police units, which vastly influences decision-making process the managers of this institution cope with. Making right and pertinent decisions by managers and its subsequent realization are very im-portant for organization’s functioning and its effectiveness.
