The modern international standards and national legislation in the sphere of the right to information

Abstract
This article highlights the gradual establishment and recognition in Europe the right to information in terms of access to information of public authorities as a necessary part of the democratic nature of the state mechanism. On the example of the European Court of Human Rights revealed the development of the right to information. Special attention is paid to the regulation of the right to information in Ukraine and formulation problems in applying the concept of public information enshrined in Ukrainian law.
