The Panorama of Contemporary Tafsir Between Past and Future

Abstract
In this study, the adventure of contemporary tafsir (Koranic exegesis) which have formed during last two century is evaluated. After short explanations about general character of tafsir, factors which affected the differentiation of the tafsir from the previous one during that period will be discussed, the interpreters whose name were mentioned frequentand their intellection are introduced in the perspective of indication on the nature of the tafsir produced. Finally general characteristics of the contemporary tafsir is evaluated. In this article, this is also maintained that together with the developments during last years the contemporary tafsir of the 19-20th century is ended and tafsir started to take shape according to the new approaches.
