Journal Title: ІНОЗЕМНА ФІЛОЛОГІЯ - Year 2014, Vol 127, Issue 2
Abstract
The research considers the peculiarities of homonymy and polysemy in the English terminology of forestry. The semantic analysis of homonymous and polysemous lexemes, belonging to the terminological system under study, has been carried out. The classification of terms based on the types of their meaning development has been suggested. It has been concluded that any thesaurus of forestry terminology or specialized dictionaries should cover all the specific meanings of terms and their homonymous and polysemous relations should be highlighted.
