THE PRACTICE OF DETERMINING PUNISHMENTS IN USSR DURING 1960–1991

Abstract
In the article was analyzed the practice of use penalty of imprisonment in the URSR during the 1960–1991th and de- fined the factors, which infused it. The region features and showed the specific ideas of judiciary workers about necessity of use penalty of imprisonment. The influence of gradual reduction of punishment of imprisonment for the organization in combating crime in URSR was defined.
