The Relationship between IT Investment and IT Project Success through IT Infrastructure Capabilities

Abstract
The goal of this research was to investigate on how the IT infrastructure capabilities were related to the success of IT project in IT investment. The attitude rating on IT investment was used as an independent variable whereas the IT infrastructure was a mediator variable. The research sample was collected from 306 firms as the medium and large manufacturing business in Thailand. The data collected for this research was analyzed by using SEM method determine the validity and reliability of the model and assess its overall fit. The result confirmed that the goodness of fit and regression weight had significantly supported IT investment direct effect to IT Capability and IT Capability direct effect to IT Success. However, IT investment had no positive direct relationship with the success of IT project, but, it had indirect through IT Capability. These indicated that, the firm should management IT to IT Capability and bring it to use for the benefits of business. It will effect to IT project success respectively.
