THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MASS MEDIA AND INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM IN THE INFORMATION SOCIETY

Abstract
The relationship between the mass media and international terrorism is analyzed. The influence of the terrorism on global security is considered. The most dangerous terrorist organizations are identified. The features and effects of terrorism coverage in the mass media, particular public reaction and the emergence of Islamophobia which is connected with stereotyping of the Arab world are revealed. The relationship between the mass media and terrorism is proved. The ways of terrorism reduction, especially its information activities, are proposed.
