THE REPRESSIVE POLICY OF THE SOVIET STATE REGARDING THE WORKERS OF THE UKRAINIAN SSR IN THE 1920’S – 1930’S IN THE SCIENTIFIC STUDIES OF DOMESTIC HISTORIANS

Abstract
In the paper the current state of study by Ukrainian historians of the problem of repressive policy of the Communist totalitarian regime regarding the workers of the Ukrainian SSR in the 1920’s – 1930’s is analyzed. The proposed article is based on such fundamental principles of historical research as scientific objectivity and histor- icism. Source base: monographs, dissertations, scientific articles, proceedings of the conferences, scientific and documen- tary book series «Rehabilitated by History». Results of research are structured in a problem and chronological order. The main aim of the article is to analyze the main historiographical approaches to the studying of a given problem, the degree of its scientific development, as well as the prospects for further investigation of the repressive policy of the Communist totalitarian regime regarding the workers of the Soviet Ukraine in the 1920’s – 1930’s. The scientific novelty is in the creation of an integral picture of the historiography of the repressive policy of Communist totalitarian regime regarding the workers of the Soviet Ukraine in the Interbellum. It is established that the following aspects are in the center of attention of the domestic scientists: aggravation of socio-economic situation in Ukraine’s industry and on railways and search of overcoming the crisis; causes and conse- quences of regarding to punitive measures against industrial workers and railwaymen; the regional aspect of punitive measures regarding industrial workers and railwaymen of the Ukrainian SSR. Historians focused on analyzing the stages, causes, forms, scale, consequences of implementing the repressive policy of the Soviet state regarding the workers of the Ukrainian SSR in the Interbellum. As for the regional aspect of repressions, it is established that the researchers have paid the greatest attention to repressive policy of the Communist-Soviet power regarding the workers of the South Ukraine and Donbas region. The article, based on the scientific achievements of domestic historians, devoted to this problem, shows that the repres- sion of the Soviet State against the workers were directed to suppression of any manifestations of oppositional moods and solving economic problems.
