THE ROLE OF ART IN FUTURE ARCHITECTS’ TRAINING

Abstract
The article is devoted to the determination of the essence of art, roles and places of disciplines of art in the process of future architects’ professional training having an integral world view and high aesthetic culture, being creatively capable to solve sociocultural tasks. It has been indicated that a modern architect must be able not only to fulfil customers’ requirements but also to reflect the requirements of composition interconnections of an architectural construction in correlation with surrounding people’s perception in this regard. Art, which positively influences person’s emotional state and forms his / her spiritual and professional culture, his / her need for self-development and is the stimulus of introducing harmony into the surrounding world, plays a ponderable role in this process. It has been found out that for valuable work the future architects need to comprehend spiritual and emotional richness of the content of the surrounding world which will assist in the search of new and original decisions, approaches, in planning methods as well as the development of creative potential. In the educational process, art is proved to be an effective methodical method facilitating the development of future specialist’s intellectual activity, logical and analytical thinking, enables the development of individual qualities of thinking (flexibility, fluency, capacity for generalization, comparison, «sharp-sightedness» and other ones which are important from the position of quality of architectural decisions), the development of students’ sense of proportions and prospect in architectural space, feelings of light and colour tones correlations in the process of perception and creation of architectural objects. It has been set that the basic aspects of future architects’ training in graphics is their mastering of human experiences that substantially influences the formation of specialist’s graphic generalism; accumulation of graphic knowledge and abilities, which gives the possibility to bring the students cultural determinant methods of solving tasks within their professional activity in a civilized manner; integration of humanitarian, graphic, project disciplines and extracurricular work aimed at the development of students’ creative artistic activities; students’ full recognition of sociocultural reality, capacity for self-development, formation of motivation to independent dissemination of the graphic knowledge. The possibilities of fine art in the professional training of future architects, which are realized during the teaching of graphic arts disciplines «Drawing» and «Painting», are considered basic in specialists’ training and presuppose students’ all-round cognition of nature as well as its creative transformation by artistic means, students’ mastery of artistic-graphical and artistic-analytical skills; they include students into cognitive-creative activities, preparing them, in this way, for solving complex professional problems within architectural activities.
