THE ROLE OF CRIMINAL LAW IN THE ANTI-CORRUPTION MECHANISM OF THE COUNTRY

Abstract
The article argues that it is necessary not to idealize criminal-legal means of combating corruption and not to evaluate them as the primary and basic element of anticorruption policy of the country. It is summarized that criminal law is only one of at least four components of law as an element of an anti-corruption mechanism of the country. It is concluded that the criminal-legal mechanism of combating corruption is not an isolated and self-sufficient system and can operate effectively only under the conditions of parallel implementation of other anticorruption mechanisms, acting as a subsidiary instrument.
