Journal Title: Ukrainian Scientific Medical Youth Journal / Український Науково-Медичний Молодіжний Журнал - Year 2013, Vol 71, Issue 1
Abstract
The work includes the experimental data of the acquisition of antibiotic resistance in museum culture E.coli K12 under the influence of distant physical connection. Within 18 days, bacterial culture loses its sensitivity to chloramphenicol without having direct contact with the antibiotic. This article briefly reports possible mechanisms of intercellular communication. It describes the changes in the culture of prokaryotic cells on the microscopic level, which occur when bacteria adapt to antibiotics.
