THE ROLE OF LISTENING IN THE FORMATION OF THE COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE OF STUDENTS OF NON-LANGUAGE SPECIALTIES (ON AN EXAMPLE OF GERMAN LANGUAGE)

Abstract

In the article the features of listening as one of the types of speech activity of students are considered. The influence of listening skills on the development of communicative skills of students studying German as a second foreign language is analyzed. Listening is reviewed as an action that is a part of a communicative activity and is used in oral communication, which is subordinate to productive personal or social needs. It is emphasized that listening skills are formed only in the process of hearing perception. It is emphasized that the main means for listening is audio text.
