THE ROLE OF NATIONAL ECONOMIES IN THE GLOBAL FOOD PROBLEMS STRUCTURE

Abstract
The article deals with the nature of the food supply of the population, which follows from the specific nature of the formation of public demand. A key function of the state in such cases is to prevent the unjustified increase in food prices on the basis of declaring prices, setting limits for the growth of prices and trade surcharges, marginal rates of profitability and recommended prices, and a special role is played by state subsidies. There is every reason to argue that the global public goods in the modern phase of world economic development form a solid material basis for the effective resolution of the global community of global humanity problems – climate change, food shortages, transboundary epidemics of infectious diseases, financial, debt and budgetary crises, etc.
