The subjective evaluation of teeth colour and objective methods

Abstract
Introduction. The aesthetic performs important part in the present dentistry. The selection suitable colour of teeth often determines success in the treatment and is necessary to accepting denture by the patient. Lately appeared many devices to quick and univocal qualifity the proper colour of teeth.Aim of the study. The aim of this study was the estimation the possibility objective selection the colour of teeth at the use different methods. One analysed also the agreement of this procedure executed by different dentists.Methods research. The investigation was passed on the ground the concerning questionnaire. In the experience took a part 6 dentist. Every from them examined the group 21 the same students of the dentistry aged from 22 to 28 years. One qualified the colour of tooth 11 on the ground shade tabs: Vita Classical and 3-D-MASTER in the natural light and at the use the spectrophotometer Vita EasyShade at day’s light and at light of the unit.Results. Obtained results were subjected to the quantitative analysis. The maximum number of similar indications of colour by dentist at the same patient, for both shade tabs, carried out 4. The spectrophotometer Vita Easyshade, for Vita Classical, qualified the same colour by six dentist only at one patient at natural light and at two at light of the unit. For 3-D-MASTER the device showed the same colour a maximum by five dentist.Conclusions. Research confirmed, that specrophotometer EasyShade and shade tabs are useful to the selection colour of teeth. The selection colour of teeth by the dentist is a subjective estimation.
