The use of massive open online course for the study of mathematical disciplines.

Abstract

A massive open online course (MOOC) is a platform for delivering learning content online to any person who wants gain knowledge, with no limit on attendance. In addition to traditional course mate-rials such as video lectures, practical work and exams, many MOOCs provide interactive user forums to support community interactions among students and professors. Using interactive exercises contributes to the formation of interest from students and allows everyone to organize the existing knowledge. Article aims to study the possibility of using distance learning technologies in the MOOC platform for the study of mathematical disciplines. A massive open online course offer amazing quality classes by the best professors from the best universities. The most popular distance courses – EDx, Coursera, Khan Academy, INTUIT, Iversity, Open Univercity, Lectorium. With Open edX, educators and technologists can build learning tools and contribute new features to the platform, creating innovative solutions to benefit students everywhere. Based on the re-search we come to following conclusions. MOOC-courses are suitable for the use as additional educational resources in mathematical disciplines to achieve a high quality of professional edu-cation, training, self-education and increase motivation of students. Massive open online course contribute to the development of innovative technologies and the introduction of new teaching concepts.
