THEORETIC ASPECTS OF INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION COMPETENCE

Abstract
The competency-based education implies a number of new dimensions, such as: development of dependent problem-solving skills to users, formation of an individual experience of solving cognitive or communicative difficulties, accentuation of the pursuit of the assumed goals, and attribution of a new sense to the learning process, etc. Competence, in general terms, aims effectiveness and appropriateness. It combines the ability to apply grammatical rules, formulate expressions, correct sentences and use them appropriately in contexts. Communication competence involves the factual use of language, as well as anchoring in the communication performance and its evaluation. Competence approach can be related to the concept of pedagogical innovation and involves a multitude of designation and realization forms of the educational processes. This implies, from a didactic point of view, the creation of a coherent vision on communication, structured both theoretically and practically. The theoretical background of the communicative-functional model selects and correlates a number of defining categories. These are: communication situation, language functions and communication competence. The study aims, via these categories, to examine the vast range of interpersonal communication.
