Thermal-induced Assembly and Application of Ag Nanocubes Resonance Sensor

Abstract

A thermal-induced method was used to prepare localized surface plasmon resonance( LSPR) sensing film. Firstly,the Ag nanocubes was synthesized by using polyvinyl pyrrolidone( PVP) as structure-directing and stabilizing agent. Then based on the property of amphipathic molecule 2-diethylaminoethanethiol( DEAET),whose hydrophilicity was changeable with the temperature,two dimensional( 2D) assembled film of Ag nanocubes on the glass substrate was realized through altering the reaction temperature. The classical Stober method was utilized to overcoat the 2D assembled film with Si O2 by using the polyvinyl pyrrolidone( PVP) on the surface of Ag nanocubes as coupling agent. The overcoating increased the stability of the sensing film and the feasibility of the subsequent functionalization. Finally,Ni2 +/ nitriloacetic acid system was introduced to the surface of LSPR sensor,and the immobilization of biotin and the detection of streptavidin in the solution with high sensitivity were realized.
