Thin Metallic Superficial Layers With Special Properties Deposed on Steels by Electric Discharge in Impulse
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2006, Vol 29, Issue 1
Abstract
The surface engineering, as interdisciplinary technical science is a relative new concept which appeared in high developed countries as a result of the processing of the metallic materials with distinct properties and as a result of spectacular development of the thermal treatments. The obtaining of the thin layers by electric spark presents some advantages as: high adherence of the layers, permits deposition of all materials which have electrical conductivity, but there are some disadvantages as: residual stress in layer and large roughness.

Possibilities to Study the Mixing State and Energy Dissipation in Metallurgical Reactors Using a System Based on Coloured Liquids
Coloured liquids are used to show the stream lines in aqueous systems used as model liquids, in different chemical reactors, also in metallurgical reactors dedicated to liquid steel processing; ladles represent a class w...
Producing Bimetals by Direct Melting of the Bronze Machining Chips into Steel Supports
The bimetals can satisfy some requests of the working conditions impossible to be obtained using one single metallic material. The bimetallic pieces are obtained by the different production methods by covering of a steel...
Regeneration of Used Engine Lubrication Oil by Solvent Extraction. The Solvent Influence on Oil Ratio
Huge amounts of used lubricating oils from automotive sources are disposed of as a harmful waste into the environment. For this reason, means to recover and reuse these wastes need to be found. Problems arising from acid...
Study on the Rheology of Corn Oil Subjected to Forced Oxidation
This paper reflects a study on the rheology of corn oil in unoxidized state, subjected to forced oxidation treatment. Using the Rheotest2 system, the variation of dynamic viscosity with temperature and shear rate, using...
Integrated Analytical Study for the Somes Metalic Artefact Discoveri in Ibida Site, Romania
The paper presents the results of the analyses conducted using the SEM-EDX and micro-FTIR co-assisted techniques, on several metallic artefacts unearthed during the excavations at the (L)Ibida archaeological site in Slav...
