Thin Metallic Superficial Layers With Special Properties Deposed on Steels by Electric Discharge in Impulse
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2006, Vol 29, Issue 1
Abstract
The surface engineering, as interdisciplinary technical science is a relative new concept which appeared in high developed countries as a result of the processing of the metallic materials with distinct properties and as a result of spectacular development of the thermal treatments. The obtaining of the thin layers by electric spark presents some advantages as: high adherence of the layers, permits deposition of all materials which have electrical conductivity, but there are some disadvantages as: residual stress in layer and large roughness.

Thermal Analysis of Inoculated Grey Cast Irons
A research was done to investigate the effect of 0.05…0.25wt.% addition rate of Ca, Zr ,Al – FeSi alloy, in ladle and in-mould inoculation of grey cast irons. In the present paper, the conclusions drawn are based on ther...
Corrosion Behavior of Zinc Alloy Layers
The alloying of zinc with some additional elements in specific quantities could be reliably used in the hot-dip coating process. These elements conferr substantially improved performance to the end-product specially by i...
Assessment of the Influence of Breakage Strength Rocks by Cox Method
Analyzed according to the theory of continuous mechanics, medium rock massif is a natural environment difficult to know, so the forecasts referring to its behaviour are approximate and uncertain. Such an assertion become...
The Influence of Cold Rolling on the Microstructure for Drawing Steels
The paper presents the structural changes that appeared in steel for deep drawing, as a result of cold rolling and of recrystallization thermal treatment. The research was conducted on samples taken from the rolled strap...
Alumina Influence on the Corrosion Resistance of Composite Layers Ni-P-Al2O3
This paper aims to analyze the corrosion resistance of composite layers based on Ni-P matrix and disperse phase alumina of 10 µm size, present in amounts of 5, 10 and 20 g / L in the nickel plating bath. The influence of...
