TOWARDS A MODERN ETHOS: TO UNDERSTAND THE BAROQUE FROM BOLÍVAR ECHEVERRÍA

Abstract
This scientific article makes an inquiry about the philosophical thought of Bolívar Echeverría. For this, it has been essential to start from the notion of ethos, which will allow us to recognize the author's worldview and moral attitude with respect to the reality that is presented to him. Also, in the course of this work, it will be understood that this character has an orientation to establish an ideology of the Baroque, which is more similar to Marxist criteria, since it reveals a dualism characterized by the struggle between capitalism and modernity. Against this background, it has been decided to conduct a study on this event. To do this, the theories of cultural studies will be used, since there will be a need to contextualize all that complex and interdisciplinary universe on which Bolívar Echeverría is based. Some of the paradigms that will be developed and confronted in this research will be baroque, ethos, canon, postmodernity, among others.
