THE ACTION INTELLECTUAL IN TIME OF CRISIS

Abstract
This work develops the notion of the intellectual; reference will be made to this notion when enunciating it as action intellectual. This denomination has been considered to allude to Sebastián Salazar Bondy. In this case, it matters how the image of the capital of Peru is constructed from its essay production, especially Lima la horrible (1964). A good appreciation will only be achieved through the necessary historical documentation and the pertinent sociological orientation that facilitates connecting the narrator's worldview in the 20th and 21st centuries. Once this interdisciplinary interaction is achieved, it will be possible to understand the author's vision from his link with the ideological; that is, the intended orientation will be taken into account give this research. Theoretician John Beverley will be essential for this work, since he will allow us to know and understand the context in which intellectuals operate in times of crisis. From there, it will be known how the colonial arcade works and all those resistances that are implicit in the social and political structures of Peru.
