Abstract
A key aspect that we set out to do since we were formed as an editorial team was to contribute with ideas, as well as to strengthen not only science as a spearhead, but also the deployment of reflection for the sake of a more fair and balanced, in times as convulsive as those we are going through today. True, these are difficult times that we must face and confront with intelligence and, of course, with ideas. This is and will continue to be our emblem and our firmest purpose. In this edition of the Social Innova Sciences journal, we present four articles and one essay. The first article is titled "Fake news and its impact in times of pandemic" and is by Renzo Seminario. It contains a series of reflections on the versions generated as a result of the pandemic, as well as the successive interpretations and investigations offered through the main means of disseminating information. The second work is by Carlos Alberto Alonso Quispe and Rosa Jesús Solórzano, entitled "Socio-environmental problems of the coastal hills of Lima: a review". Among the objectives of this particular study was the bibliographic consultation on the main environmental problems that afflict the coastal hills of Lima, in order to generate information and then propose strategies to improve the state of the hills in the region.
