TRAINING FUTURE PEDAGOGUES IN SOCIALIZATION OF A PERSON IN CHILDHOOD ON THE BASIS OF THE COMPETENCE-ORIENTED APPROACH

Abstract

The article is devoted to the issue regarding the training of the future pedagogues in socialization of a person in childhood on the basis of the competence-oriented approach which enables the introduction of essential adjustments into the approaches to the activity of the subjects of education. Ways of activity, experience in reproductive and creative activities, experience in moral attitude to sociocultural environment can be referred to the contents of education alongside with knowledge, skills and abilities. At the same time, person’s competence presupposes the development of his / her certain abilities needed for the realization of a corresponding activity. The author highlights the necessity to elaborate innovative scientific and methodological approaches to the pedagogues’ professional activity taking into consideration the peculiarities of the modern socio-economical and socio-cultural situation in general as well as the specificity of the socialization process of a person in his / her childhood, in particular. In this regard, it seem significant: to provide pedagogues’ awareness of the aim and contents of their professional activity and deliverance from the distortions of pedagogical consciousness (adjustment to the disciplinary model of interaction with a child, dominance of moralism in his / her upbringing, presence of stereotypes in the management of activities of different types); to teach them to project the pedagogical system of the child-centred interaction, to develop the abilities of competent assistance and support of a child in his / her self-cognition and self-development in a childhood space, to realize socio-pedagogical support of the process of person’s socialization in his / her childhood; to form a new understanding of the modern childhood as a socio-cultural values of society as an independent and essential life period in which child’s intensive development as well as his / her active entering into life with adults’ pedagogical support take place. The reservation of child’s identity and uniqueness alongside with his / her inner world becomes the main idea. It has been demonstrated that the competence-oriented approach represents an aggregate system of setting an aim, tasks, contents, organizational and technological support aimed at the development of person’s social competence in his / her childhood; a series of guidelines facilitating the elaboration of the requirements to the quality of teacher training based on the competence-oriented approach has been presented. Due to the need for pedagogically consistent socialization process which facilitates child’s involvement into the culture of society and mastery of the position of the subject of social life, the competence-oriented approach enables us to rely on these principles: social compliance which presupposes compliance of the contents and methods of education with a real social situation within which a teaching / learning process is organized; diagnostics, the orientation to the achievement of a sufficient level of social competence, to be more precise; multifunctionality, the competence presupposes an integrative combination of a series of the constituents like abilities to solve tasks and to establish interaction with society.
