TRAINING OF SOCIAL-COMMUNICATIVE ANALYST IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article analyzes the Ukrainian market of analytical services, studies the demand for experts in analytics and examines the issue of the training of future analysts in higher education institutions of Ukraine. It has been noted that today analytics is important and necessary for all spheres of human life and society (including science, education, library, management and so on), and not only for economy, business, policy and IT technologies. Analysts in the subject field can hold positions such as «financial analyst», «risk analyst», «system analyst», «investment analyst», «business analyst», «analytic-marketing expert»; in the field of information technologies – «software ana- lyst», «programmer analyst», «computer communications analyst», «analyst of computer systems»; in the humanitarian sphere – «policy analyst», «information analyst», «analyst of consolidated information» etc. In the modern information society, information analytics is particularly important. The lack of the training on spe- cialty «Analytics» in higher educational institutions leads to failures in the conduct of information wars, significant errors in the formulation of predictions, science-based definitions of state policy vectors and so on. The author argues that at present, analytical work as an independent form is not separated. In Ukraine specialists in higher educational institutions are trained mainly on specialties 029 «Information, Library and Archives» and 124 «Sys- tem Analysis» that significantly reduces the possibilities of a future analyst and his ability to select and classification information either on a library basis or purely cybernetic methods. In addition, specialists in analytics are trained within the programme «Information analytics and impacts» on specializations «Consolidation of economic information» and «Consolidation of special information»; by the programme «Information analytics and public relations», «Information analytics» on specialty «Information, library and archives». The experience of separate higher education institutions to train specialists in analytics and to develop their profes- sional competencies is considered. Attention is also devoted to the role, form and content of information and analytical disciplines as well as profile of the final-year student (gained knowledge and skills; place of work; held the positions, etc.). The necessity of introducing in higher education institutions such specialty as «Analytics» to train the specialists in analytics, in particular for the social and communicative sphere (information analysts) has been drawn attention to.
