Abstract

The article is concerned with the need to use the methods of praxeology at the translation of the German juristic texts into the Ukrainian language. Author regards a question of interconnection of language and jurisprudence, possibility of use some researches of extralinguistic subjects by the translating. Science of praxeology that is effectively used in jurisprudence, economic and other fields of knowledge can be also used to optimize such human activities as translation, in order to improve its effectiveness. It is mainly reffered to revealing certain genre characteristics of such texts, their classification, analyze of textural, morphological, syntactic, lexical and stylistic features of the original for their appropriate preservation in the text of the translation. In relation to their application fields, all juristic texts are divided in such types: texts of law making and law enforcement activities, scientific juristic texts and texts of statutory journalism. Every single one of them has significant differences that is why they should be certain considered. The article represents a comparative analyze of German and Ukrainian texts of law making and law enforcement activities, reveals a number of common features, finds ways of solving translation problems. To solve some problems, the translator needs not only to be experienced, but also to have some knowledge of other branches of science. The article covers the possibility of formulating the basic methods and principles of translation of juristic texts, proposes for application an appropriate action plan for the work of an interpreter with texts of a given subject. The first step of an interpreter is to specify the functional area of the text, and the second is to do analysis of the original text on all its speech levels before its translation, and the last step is to edit, first of all, the preservation of the stylistic features of the original in the text of the translation.
