TRIP NOTES IN THE CONTEXT OF TRAVEL-JOURNALISM

Abstract
Using the «trip notes» as a genre of periodicals, the author tends to think that they are a projection on the realities of life, help realize the author’s aims – to present her own information content. Analyzing the data from the etymological and encyclopedic dictionaries, literary evidence of historical sources, the author considers the distinctive history of ancient Ukraine, presented in toponymic names of Podillia: Vinnychka, Pivdennyi Buh, Boh, Hipanis, Braiiliv, Vyshnia; historical sanctuary for people of different confessions, prominent personalities whose names are associated with Vinnytchina.
