Un «Lignum Crucis» en el Convento: La Cruz de Jerusalén

Journal Title: Alquipir - Year 2022, Vol 10, Issue 1

Abstract

A family of sculptors from France sculpted a cross that was worshiped in the church of the Franciscan convent of Cehegín from 1802 until it was lost in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War. The cross was moved from its original location to an altar where the Heart of Jesus is venerated today. It was known as “The Cross of Jerusalem.”
