UN MECHANISMS IN AREA OF PROCURING THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES

Abstract
Article defines the aspects of evolution and functioning of the UN mechanisms devoted for establishment and providing the legal statute for indigenous peoples of the world in the XXI century. Author researches the activities of the UN Special Rapporteur on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, UN Expert Mechanism on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, reflection of those processes in the normative acts of the UN Human Rights Council, UN Economic and Social Council and UN General Assembly is researched at.
