Vitamin B12-functionalized patterned Si surface for solar energy conversion
Journal Title: Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics - Year 2018, Vol 21, Issue 2
Abstract
Interaction between organic and inorganic materials is very actual both for understanding their nature and for some applications. One of directions in this area is functionalization and sensibilization of semiconductor surfaces by organic compounds for solar energy conversion. The main goal of this research is to demonstrate the possibility for immobilization of some photofunctional organic compounds on an inorganic silicon substrate at the room temperature. In particular, we have prepared a new B12–Si hybrid with the solar conversion efficiency up to Eff = 3.75% at the room temperature by chemical deposition of vitamin B12 on the patterned silicon substrate. Here, we report the correlation between morphology and functionality, as well as deposition mode for B12–Si hybrids.

An original way to obtain porous Zn(1–x)MgxO thin films by spray pyrolysis technique
Zn(1–x)MgxO thin films with various concentrations of magnesium were deposited using the spray pyrolysis method. The transmittance spectra recorded for all films exhibit maxima exceeding 90%. The band gap energy of the f...
Fluorescence of molecules placed near a spherical particle: Rabi splitting
Theoretical study of spontaneously emitted spectra of point-like source placed near spherical Ag particle was performed. It was shown that near-field electromagnetic interaction between a point-like emitter and spherical...
Structure and Raman spectra of (Cu6PS5I)1–x(Cu7PS6)x mixed crystals
Mixed (Cu6PS5I)1–x(Cu7PS6)x crystals were grown using a direct crystallization technique. Being based on the X-ray diffraction data, their crystal structure was studied, showing face-centred cubic lattice for Cu6PS5I-ric...
Comparison of the synthesis routes for the ZnO/porous silica nanocomposite
ZnO/porous silica nanocomposites were successfully fabricated by three different types of synthesis techniques. In all cases, the molecular sieve SBA-16 was used as a porous matrix. The in situ growth the nanoparticles o...
