ВЗАИМОСВЯЗЬ ЭМОЦИОНАЛЬНОГО ИНТЕЛЛЕКТА И УРОВНЯ ТОЛЕРАНТНОСТИ ЛИЧНОСТИ

Abstract
The main aim of the given work is the identification of the specifics of the correlation and mutual interconnection between the emotional intelligence and the level of tolerance of the individual. The development of modern society necessitates the homologous requirements for the social behavior of a citizen, defining tolerant behavior as the most effective model of interaction in society. Tolerance as a model of social behavior implies the manifestation of a responsible and sensible moral choice of each individual, the ability to assess the situation from the standpoint of relevance and adequacy, the ability to take the position of «another» and view the situation from a different perspective, the ability to restructure inadequate attitudes, relationships, constructs. The ability to live in a society with preservation of one’s own rights and respect for other members of society is determined by the level of emotional intelligence.
