XADREZ: UM RECURSO METODOLÓGICO FACILITADOR DO PROCESSO DE ENSINO E APRENDIZAGEM DA MATEMÁTICA

Abstract
The yearning for a more consistent and qualitative education capable to form safe citizens of their knowledge, generating intellectual support to face the most diverse challenges of the existence, within the social, economic, and cultural contexts of our country, took us to search for alternative methodologies that could improve the formation of the future of the Mathematics teacher and that could facilitate to the process of education and learning of Math. For this it appeared the idea of researching the CHESS as a tool the Mathematics Education. We have investigated the way traced by Chess in the world, the attempt to understand the way it has been used through the times as a tool helpful in the cognitive development, as a pedagogical instrument and still as a game (playful aspect). Moreover, this article reflects on the possibilities of contextualization and promotion of the cross-curricular through the Chess in Mathematics lesson.
