Abstract

Though its occurrence is equal in both the sexes but it causes complications more frequently in males. Complications can range from obstruction, intussusception, inflammation or diverticulitis ,perforation, hemorrhage , neoplasm, fistuala and rarely being a perforation by foreign body. We bring forward the case report of a male patient with perforation of meckel’ diverticulum. The patient was treated by resection of meckel’s diverticulum with primary anastomosis done with thorough washing and cleaning of abdominal cavity and pelvis. Postoperative period was uneventful.
