Journal Title: Наукові праці. Серія "Філологія. Мовознавство" - Year 2017, Vol 294, Issue 282
Abstract
The article deals with the question of A. Y. Krymskyi`s methodology in history of the Ukrainian language. The analysis of lingvohistoriographic research works has shown that the linguist`s scientific achievements were often studied by modern comparatists. In particular, analysis of his methodological foundations is presented in the works by M. A. Zhovtobriukh, V. M. Rusanivskyi, V. A. Glushchenko, K. A. Tyshchenko and others. But the main question is still developed only in general characteristics. This fact determines the relevance of the proposed article. The authors of the article claim that the linguistic method is a complex logical unit. It includes three different components: ontological, operational and teleological. It determines the structure of comparative-historical and historical methods.
