ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF STUDENTS’ SPATIAL THINKINGIN THE PHYSICAL, MATHEMATICAL, ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING DIRECTIONS OF TRAINING

Abstract

Spatial thinking is one of the most important components of the human intellect, so the necessary condition for success in any kind of objective activity of a modern school. Geometry is the school discipline of the mathematical cycle, which has the best potential for the development of spatial and logical thinking of students. One of the functions of education is to ensure the optimal development of man's creative powers and abilities. In connection with this, one of the topical problems of pedagogical research is the search for basic indicators, forms and methods for developing spatial thinking of students. Spatial imagination accompanies us throughout life. We live and move in three-dimensional space, objects in everyday life occupy space. Spatial thinking serves as a way of acquiring information, an auxiliary way of thinking, formulating tasks, a useful tool or an assistant in solving a particular problem. It is necessary in many professions.
