Application of diagnostics of pavement conditions for identification of dangerous places for road users
Journal Title: Roads and Bridges - Drogi i Mosty - Year 2010, Vol 9, Issue 1
Abstract
The main goal of the described project was formulation and documentation of the identification method of the potential road traffic risk caused by the unsatisfying exploitation condition of pavement. The paper presents the method's algorithm as well as the ways of visualization and documentation of the analysis results. The method was applied in pilot project on two national road sections (DK-8 and S-7) in Warsaw surroundings.

Efektywność działania domieszek w zaprawach w obecności popiołu lotnego wapiennego
W artykule przedstawiono badania dotyczące wpływu różnych domieszek (SP, PL, AE, R, ACC) na właściwości reologiczne, zawartość powietrza, czas wiązania oraz ciepło hydratacji zapraw z dodatkiem popiołu lotnego wapiennego...
Active damping of vibrations of one dimensional continuum under a moving load
In the paper, a semi-active control of vibrations of ID elastic continuum under a traveling load is presented. Bridge spans induced by vehicles traveling over it with high speed can be reinforced by supplementary support...
Design of geosynthetic reinforcements for earth structures in line with regulations of Eurocode 7
The paper presents design rules of geosynthetic reinforcements based on the regulation of EC 7 with the adaptation to the Polish conditions are presented. Especially, the recommendations given in the Instruction 429/2007...
Environmental determinants of road construction process in Poland
The paper covers selected environmental problems associated with road construction in Poland. Road works are linear in nature, which makes the investment process exceptionally difficult and complex, requiring the involve...
Fatigue assessment procedure for metal bridge decks
Deck slabs are the most vulnerable elements of bridges. In case of metal decks (steel, aluminium) the frequently observed damage is due to fatigue cracks. Therefore a fatigue assessment procedure is important in design o...
