BETWEEN THE KNOWLEDGE OF ECONOMY AND ECONOMIC BEHAVIORS

Abstract
The article aims to analyze the role of an individual’s economic knowledge in making financial decisions and in undertaking various economic activities, such as, for example, saving, buying or insuring oneself. It discusses the findings of research on the relationship between the level of children’s, adolescents’ and adults’ economic knowledge and their financial behaviors. Separate paragraphs describe the process of economic socialization, which encourages the acquiring of economic knowledge, the methods to assess the level of financial knowledge among children, adolescents and adults, as well as the forms of economic education that aim to increase the scope and quality of this knowledge.
