Journal Title: Çukurova Anestezi ve Cerrahi Bilimler Dergisi - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

Bilateral giant inguinoscrotal hernia usually occurs in underdeveloped countries, patients with poor socioeconomic status or patients whose treatment has been neglected for any reason for long time. Herniation of the bladder into the inguinal canal is seen in 1-4% of all inguinal hernia cases. Herniation of the bladder does not cause specific symptoms. For this reason, they often overlook in preoperative period. In this case study, we aimed to present an 85-year-old male patient with bilateral giant inguinoscrotal hernia accompanied by bladder herniation, who presented with mechanical bowel obstruction, had low cardioreserve reserve, and postponed the operation because the ASA score was 4.
