Biofuel Utilization for a Sustainable Environment - A Review

Abstract
This study synthesizes existing literature on biofuel combustion to reduce CO2 emissions and promote a sustainable society. By analyzing previous research, the study extracts valuable ideas for environmental improvement and development across sectors. The potential of biofuels as an alternative fuel source is emphasized, with global opportunities for bio-product adoption highlighted. Efforts from different countries to create a greener world are discussed. The study projects that biofuels could constitute 30% of the world's energy supply by 2050, thereby reducing combustion emissions to acceptable levels. Specific analyses of different biofuels reveal varying effects on CO and NOx emissions. For instance, sunflower B100 shows a 4.21% decrease in CO emissions but a 1.27% increase in NOx emissions. Palm B5 demonstrates better CO and NOx reduction at 1000 rpm compared to 1500 rpm. The study also explores concepts related to biofuel technologies, combustion, CO2 emissions, and sustainability. Major achievements in the field and recommendations drawn from the literature aim to enhance society and foster a healthier environment.
