Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 4
Abstract
Breast cancer is the malignant tumor with the highest incidence in women, and the treatment of early breast cancer is surgery. In order to reduce the psychological burden of patients and improve the function of upper limbs, there is an increasing demand for breast reconstruction, in which breast reconstruction with prepectoral prosthesis implantation is the most widespread. This paper will comprehensively review one-stage breast reconstruction with prepectoral prosthesis implantation, including surgical safety, aesthetic and functional effects, and influencing factors of surgical results, and further discuss the development prospects and limitations of this surgery, so as to provide clinicians with comprehensive preoperative guidance for one-stage breast reconstruction with prepectoral prosthesis implantation, which plays a guiding role in determining the operation mode, avoiding surgical complications and promoting patients' rehabilitation.
