CHARACTERISTICS OF COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS OF FOREIGN DOCTORS’ PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION

Abstract
In the represented article the current essence and features of communicative skills of future doctors are grounded. Special attention to the definition and specification of the notions «professional communication», «professional communication of future doctors» is paid. Domestic and foreign psychological and pedagogical literature concerning the problem has been analyzed. The features of professional communication have been specified. The analysis of the scientific works proves that the authors treat the process of foreign language professional communication as conscious and creative. The scientists pay special attention to the necessity to follow some conditions that contribute to the effective forming of medical students’ foreign language communicative skills such as: conscious gaining of knowledge about methods and ways of professional activity performance, practical experience of its application, interaction between theoretical and practical training, students’ control and analysis of their own actions, presence of positive motivation for gaining knowledge and mastering skills, complication of activity conditions, which speed up gaining experience of transferring skills to a new professional situation. Particular attention in the process of gaining foreign communicative skills should be paid to the perception of a partner in communication. The main factors conditioning efficiency of professional communication are as follows: purpose, role, choice of simple actions, behavioural act sequence, language and speech activity, difficulties of interaction and their overcoming. All the factors are interconnected and form the proper system. In improvement of professional communicative skills perception of communicants is becoming more perfect and free. Thus, communicative process is likely to become more effective and qualitative.
