COMMUNICATIVE ROLE OF ADRESANT IN LITERARY DISCOURSE (on material of modern Ukrainian prose)

Abstract
This article analyzes the linguistic aspects of the author’s image in fiction. The research is carried out in communicative pragmatic aspect, providing discursive approach to the analysis of a literary text as an act of communicative interaction between the author and the reader. The functions of communicative interaction between members taking part in contemporary Ukrainian prose with priority position of the initiator of communication, the author of a literary text, are traced. The traditional and innovative approaches to the study of the author’s image in fiction are presented. The communicative position of the speaker as the initiator of communication and the notion of communicative roles are modified. A typology of communicative roles of the speaker in a fiction is determined, the communicative role of narrator, commentator and character is suggested. The attempt to link the realization of the author’s image with the syntactic means as structures in fiction is made. The implementation of each communicative role in inserted syntactic structures in contemporary Ukrainian prose is traced. The communicative role of the narrator, which is realized in the most inserted syntactic structures are focused. To a lesser degree the specificity of communicative roles of commentator and personage is discovered and it defines the prospects for further research. The Ukrainian prose of the early twenty-first century writers serve as material for research.
