Computerized Rice Field Irrigation System

Journal Title: Journal of Computing and Innovation - Year 2018, Vol 2, Issue 2

Abstract

In every country that possesses rich agricultural lands, including the Philippines, rice farming is considered one of the largest farming priorities. However, the potential of being a rice-sufficient or abundant rice nation remains dormant due to some issues; especially it's poor technological upbringing. In most areas in the country, Irrigation management, which allows precise deliveries of water directly to the rice plots, has not yet been developed. This study utilizes a descriptive type of research were two types of direct-data survey are included, specifically survey and interview that was conducted on February 2015 at the Brgy. Captain Ditas N. de la Peña's rice farm. Results revealed issues with the current irrigation system thus the development of a prototype Computerized Rice Field System was conducted.
