Construction Disturbance Analysis of Existing Bridge Piles Traversed by Interval Subsurface Excavation Tunnel

Abstract

The construction disturbance of existing bridge piles traversed by interval subsurface excavation tunnel was analyzed by 3D numerical analysis and site measurement. The results show that the spatial effect of existing bridge piles displacement response is significant which caused by tunnel excavation. The subsidence difference value is caused by difference side pressure along piles. The piles displacements show S pattern on X axis,and the maximum value locates at top of pile. The displacement pattern is different with the tunnel axe on X axis. The piles displacements show parabola pattern on Y axis,and the maximum value locates at tunnel axes. The bending moment of existing bridge piles have two recurvature points,and the maximum value locates at tunnel axes. The bending moment of existing bridge piles is caused by different side pressure along piles.
